How Do You Like Your Brexit And Could You Have It Sunny Side Up?

Will it be a Hard Brexit? Will it be a Soft Brexit? Will it be a Red White Blue Brexit? If you’re like me and your heart sinks every time some idiot trots out some pronouned Brexit, which is as meaningless as the term Brexit itself, don’t hit your head off the nearest desk.

If there’s one thing we know about Britain’s decision to leave the EU, it is defined by the meaningless term ‘Brexit’. Now, I understand that politicians are dictated to by PR firms and pollsters but am I alone in viewing every elected official as more of a moron each time they say ‘Brexit’ as if it is an actual word? Brexit means Brexit means as little, if not less than, the defined terms for leaving the EU … because there aren’t and never were any.

The story of ‘Brexit’ is that we had a moronic government led by a moronic Tory party led by a moron, who thought Britain would never vote to leave the EU. That’s the story. Why don’t we see that on the front pages of every newspaper every day? Why isn’t that the lead story on the news channels, every hour of every day?

“Welcome to the BBC one o’clock news … you are still being governed by the morons who presented Britain with a choice it should not make, made no allowances for Britain making the choice it was not prepared for and that it did not understand itself. In other news, the morons still do not understand what they did but they are happy for you to take the blame.”

Our corrupted ‘mainstream’ press are in the process of fighting off regulation at the moment, under the guise that they are a ‘free’ press and should not face oversight by government. The current Labour leadership have pledged to break up the media monopolies that were formed over the past three decades, severing the control of billionaire press barons from casting their shadow over British democracy; just one more reason why our politico-media establishment fear the current Labour leadership forming a British government. It is no wonder that the media barons are not keen or free to hold the current multi-shambles Tory government to account because our media overlords would not like it.

It is clear that Britain currently has a government unfit for office and incapable of managing the fall out from their disastrous folly of offering the vote to leave the EU and not planning for a Leave victory. It is equally clear that we have a prime minister so weak and inept that we might have to begin to talk of a political human centipede where May is sandwiched between Rupert Murdoch and the British public (Murdoch at the head sadly, with us providing the tail and forced to eat both of their excrement). But could it be different?

NO!

DO NOT STOP TO WONDER WHY THE PRESS SPEND MORE TIME TELLING YOU WHY JEREMY CORBYN IS UNELECTABLE AND ALL ROUND USELESS THAN HOLDING THIS WRECKAGE OF A GOVERNMENT TO ACCOUNT. IF THE TORIES ARE TO BE REPLACED (and they really must be replaced) THEN THEY MUST BE REPLACED WITH SOMEONE WHO WILL KEEP THINGS JUST THE WAY THEY CURRENTLY ARE. YOUR LOT IS TO NOT IMPROVE, THE PRIVILEGED MUST MAINTAIN THEIR INCREASING PRIVILEGE. DO YOU SEE?

And that’s that. The Tories are demonstrating why they were so resolutely kicked out of office in 1997; they are hobbled by a political mindset that harks back to the days of Empire, old colonialists at heart that view the British peasantry in much the same way their fore-fathers oversaw plantations, attributing their financial success to their personal acumen, not the exploitation of the lives beneath them.

They are ideologically unfit to lead a modern nation that does not maintain colonies abroad, dwelling within a cargo cult that thinks you can bring the heady days of Empire back if only you replant cricket pitches on the village green, drink martinis in the setting sun, and subjugate your population.

That is the Brexit Britain the Tories are being bullied towards building by the worst of their number. The current Labour leadership offer something starkly different but those sitting pretty now are fighting as dirty as they can to stop people from seeing that they have a choice for something better.

We should never have been given the choice to vote to leave the EU simply because there was nothing in place to tackle the enormous constitutional change. It was a folly of David Cameron to gamble the welfare and financial security of Britain against bolstering Tory votes for the 2015 general election and we are hamstrung by the very same Tories in leading Britain post the EU referendum. Issues that we must understand and face if we are to move forward as a modern nation. The Tories have been unfit for purpose for too long but are simply representative of Britain’s outmoded democracy.

The Tories cracked the eggs but voters can still choose how they want them served and by whom.
